Please read below for more information about the certificate program and to view the Yearly Program/Course Schedule:

  • The program is comprised of 4 required core courses and an Optional Supervised Field Internship Elective Course. Students may complete the program and internship in as little as 16 weeks.

  • It is not required to take courses in any order; however it is highly recommended that you begin with two courses in Module One; Business Development and Entrepreneurship in Fitness & Financial Principles and Business Concepts before starting other courses in the program.

  • Courses are taken in the 2 module format and each module or course is 5 weeks in length (the optional field internship is 6 weeks in length). Students may elect to take courses individually if desired.

  • Courses are offered year-round, in the Spring, Summer, and Fall semester.

  • The following are the four core courses in the two module format:

    Program Curriculum

    Module One (weeks 1-5)
    Course 1: Business Development and Entrepreneurship in Fitness
    Course 2: Financial Principles and Business Concepts

    Module Two (weeks 6-10)
    Course 3: Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service Management
    Course 4: Fitness Management and Business Administration

    Module Three (weeks 11-16)

    Optional Course: Field Internship in Fitness Management
